Jim Hampson
has many years experience with sensors and instrumentation. After
college at Western Washington University, Jim went to work for
Boeing were he was involved with the corporate expansion to
design, build and produce the 747 commercial aircraft. He worked
in a new technology group that determined what was required to
build this new commercial jet, then searched and qualified
companies capable of supporting this effort, then helping to
develop and manage projects to get the new equipment implemented
at Boeing. This evolved into working in support groups for the
SST, 757 and 767 as well. After Boeing, Jim worked for a
manufacturers representative that operated from three offices on
the west coast and pioneered new products from Sony Magnescale,
Optical Gaging Products, Perkin Elmer and numerous others. Jim
has worked for; Nicolet Instrument Corp. developing and applying
digital oscilloscope, Anderson Electric Controls developing and
applying closed loop vector drives and controllers, and then with
Syntek representing various sensors & instrumentation products
throughout the Northwest.
Judi Hampson
has many years experience with small business operations from her
work at a major bank, finance company, and travel agency. Judi
also spent over 10 years with Children’s Hospital & Medical Center
coordinating the care being provided by the physical and
occupation therapy department. This experience has prepared her
well for supporting the financial aspects of a manufacturer’s
representative.
Jaron Hampson
came to work for Sensors Northwest in January 2001 and has
developed into an experienced and effective outside sales
engineer. Jaron’s efforts are focused at penetrating existing
accounts to identify new sensor opportunities, locate and qualify
new accounts not previously aware of our products, qualify leads
and information that supports this effort. |

PRODUCT LINES |

Sensors
Northwest focuses upon sensor technology and the related
instrumentation such as panel meters & indicators, signal
conditioners, integrated data loggers and wireless transmitters.
We operate as a rep and not a distributor, allowing us an
exclusive agreement so we can encourage customers to place orders
directly with our principals and be paid a commission for that
business activity in the territory we are contracted to cover. In
that way, we can offer free engineering and application support to
our customer base with the direction and guidance of our
principals, we can demonstrate and present the technology and
products of our principals throughout the territory we cover, we
can provide quotations and order entry assistance and we can
invest resources into new account development and qualification.
The product lines on our line card and website are working with us
in this manner, with very few exceptions. |

COVERAGE AREA |
|
Sensors Northwest covers the following geographical areas; WA,
OR, ID,
Western MT and AK.
We encourage and develop a group of integrators throughout this
territory who we bring project opportunities and who in turn will
use our sensors. This allows us to develop companies with strong
technical expertise and experience, in specific geographical areas
providing systems using our sensors on projects for that area.
This allows us to be much more diversified in our coverage and be
effective at pulp & paper mills, wastewater plants, semiconductor
plants, food processing facilities and etc. Our sensor products
typically have applications in a broad range of markets and we
feel we must make every effort to cover all of those markets to be
worthy of their representation.
