In the process of utilizing pressure sensor technology to measure water level, it is often required that the submersible sensor fit into very restricted areas such as ˝” diameter stand pipes or plumbing. In the past this was accomplished by using a Druck Model 35/D
Miniature Depth/Level Pressure Transducer. It is .390” in diameter x 4.0” long with a molded cable and fits into very small areas. It is also an exposed silicon type of pressure module making it media compatible with quartz, titanium and the polyurethane cable. It is also a transducer with millivolt output and plus/minus .1%
full scale accuracy. The millivolt output required signal conditioning at the surface to convert the output to a 4-20mA 2-wire signal suitable for controls and PLC’s. This device has been used successfully for many years in potable water applications. |
